Hi my name is Vicky, I live in Shoeburyness, Essex. I have been interested in guinea pigs for 14 years now and have had many of these lovely creatures! My first guinea pigs were brothers Harry and Lloyd unfortunately Lloyd had a short life but Harry lived to a good age. We took him once to a local summer fayre where he came 1st in the pet show he got a big cup and photos in the local paper! He also definately had a thing for the ladies and he fathered some lovely little piggies!
We have never taken our guinea pigs to a proper show as they are my pets and I don't really mind if they are show quality or not, they are all star quality to me!
I have twenty-six guinea pigs at present, I have three crested - Poppy,Quint and Millie, three smooth haired - Molly, Ebony and Ivory, nine rexes - Teddy (Ted), Posey and Amber (thanks to Pineagig for the 2 gorgeous rexes) Remy, Charlotte, Harriet, Coco Harrison - (thanks to Sharon-Guinea Pig Wonderland) and Wilson (thanks to Guinea Lodge), one peruvian mix - Pixie (who I rescued 2 years ago ) three Texels - Penfold, Daisy and Cookie thanks to Lindsey of Guinea Pigs Galore, five Alpacas - Perdy, Pippa, Pipkin, Soda and Herbie thanks to Sharon of Guinea Pig Wonderland, two Teddies Marley (thanks to Guinea Lodge) and Cinnamon.
I also have fourteen rabbits, my daughter's rabbit is a dwarf lop called Flash, my son's rabbit is a netherland dwarf called Cody, I have 3 netherland dwarfs called Bonnie, Summer and Buttercup, a red eyed white bunny called Henry I rescued and four mini lops called Dinky, Boo Boo, Mimzy and Honey.
I also have a British Giant called Dylan who I got from Sara at Rudley Bunnies he really is an amazing character and I love him to bits! I also have another British Giant called Emily who I collected on 08/03/08 she is wonderful. There is a Link to Sara's website on the Friends & Links page.
I also have an English Lop called Willow who was born on 22nd March 2008. He is from Geoff Russell stock and bred by my friend Sara - Rudley Stud.
I have other pets also which include - three dogs a staff/english called Alfie and a scruffy jack russell Toby and a puppy Jack Russell called Rigsby 'Riggs', two cockatiels Woody and Jessie, one fish called Dave and a Leopard Gecko called Leia and my daughter has a syrian hamster called Georgia!
I haven't bred guinea pigs for a while but in the last 2 years have started again as a hobby - I will advertise any baby guinea pigs I have available on my For Sale page - please check back from time to time.
